History of ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium
ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium conducted its first ODI match between India and Pakistan in 2005; in this match, Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his one-day international hundred for the first time by scoring 148. Upon receiving the test status, it began hosting its test in 2016, with India and England as the first test-playing nations. Finally, India triumphed with a victory margin of 246 runs. The Stadium conducted its first T20I in February 2016 in India Vs. Sri-Lanka, in Which Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets in merely 4-over- and Sri-Lanka was all out of the pitch with a mere score of 83.
It also stage some IPL games and was the home ground to Deccan Chargers in 2012 and act as the home ground for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2015, along with Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016 and Delhi Capitals together in 2024.
